7-28-18 Cypress 5/10K Run 7:30 am
July 28 @ 7:30 am - 12:00 pm
This summer event offers a chance to run the 5K or 10K over a flat, fast course in the city of Cypress. The early start gives runners a darn good chance to beat the heat as they run & gun for a fast time on the flat course.
Post race, the Cypress Community Festival is held at Oak Knoll Park behind the Cypress Community Center, just a short walk from the finish line and features a pancake breakfast sponsored by Kiwanis Club, a Chili cook-off, car show, food booths, games, children’s rides, arts & crafts, a beer garden, 200 vendors and all-day live entertainment.
The 35th Annual Cypress Run includes a 5K & 10K Run and a non-competitive 5K Walk. All races begin and end near the Cypress Civic Center Green and loop through the flat, fast and picturesque neighborhoods of Cypress. This All-American, small town certified race course includes electronic timing and popsicles at the finish line. Prize money will be awarded to the top three overall finishers in the 10K for both male and female, as well as age division medals for both the 5K & 10K races. Once the Run is over, visit the Cypress Community Festival, which features 200 vendors, live entertainment, and a beer garden.
This race is part of the very popular OC California Race Series! Challenge yourselves to participate and finish in consecutive order in any combination of three timed 5k/10k/Triathlon out of four upcoming events, one in each of the participating cities of Cypress, Los Alamitos and Seal Beach, and receive a one-of-a-kind coveted medal! The Cypress 5K Walk is non-competitive and does not qualify for the OC Race Series.
